1.  Name: 
Lake Ontario Catalina Association (LOCA) 
2.  Purpose: 
The purpose of this association is to facilitate all Catalina owners to meet one another, exchange information and ideas, to reap the benefits of camaraderie, fun, education, and purchasing opportunities. 
3.  Membership: 
The requirement for membership is to own any Catalina yacht. Membership fees are to be reviewed at the annual general meeting on an annual basis.

5.  Finances:
Annual membership fees are to be set at the annual general meetings.  These fees are to cover the general operating costs of the association.  Burgees are also available to purchase by any member of the association.  The purchase price is to be set based on the cost of the burgess.  Each event sponsored by the association will be covered by fees charged and collected.
6.  Meetings:
Meetings will be held at a minimum of four (4) times per year.  Meetings can be called at any time by the Commodore or a representative of the Commodore.  A quorum (defined as two thirds (2/3) or 66%) must be present to qualify as a meeting to further the business of the association.  There will be an annual general meeting held in twelve month intervals.  Should there be due cause, an annual general meeting can be convened by the Executive Committee providing the general membership with two weeks notice of such meeting.
7.  Elections:
Elections will be made on an annual basis.  Elections are to take place at the annual meeting of the association membership.  Those interested in holding positions in the office will then have to demonstrate interest in that position by putting your name forth to the executive for the position that you would like to hold.  The members in full standing will then vote.
8.  Number of Terms in an Executive Position:
Except for the position of Treasurer, a member may hold an Executive Position for no more than two terms.  A term in an Executive Position is defined as one year (from the annual meeting when one is first elected to the immediate next annual meeting).  The Treasurer position may be extended for additional one year terms as decided by a majority vote of the LOCA Executive.
9.  Revising the Constitution
The constitution is to be put forth at each and every Annual Meeting for possible revisions.  Revisions requested by the membership are to be submitted in writing to the Executive Committee no latter than one month prior to the annual meeting.  The request will be reviewed by the Executive Committee and the required recommendations will be put forward by the Executive Committee at the annual general meeting.
