Our Commitment

To welcome all Catalina owners into a fraternity of avid sailors looking to meet other Catalina owners over their shared passion of sailing and Catalina.

Embark on a Journey

LOCA has been in existence since 1983. We went international in 1996 when members from Tuscarora Yacht Club joined. We encourage all Catalina owners around Lake Ontario to join.

Meet Our Crew

Jose Halupa

Commodore

Jose was elected in 2025 as Commodore for LOCA. He sails a 1991 Catalina MKII named "The Fellowship" and is still rather new to the sailing world.

Terrina Fitzgerald

Treasurer, Secretary, & Memberships

Terrina was elected as Treasurer in 2024, took on Secretary duties in 2025, and has been supporting Membership duties as well. Terrina shares deck scrubbing duties on "The Fellowship" with her son-in-law Jose.

Ron Hoskins

Past Commodore

Ron an experienced sailor who has sailed in all parts of the world is a certified sailboat instructor. His passion for sailing is unmatched as not only does he have a Catalina 31, but he also has two additional Catalina sailboats as part of his sail club.
